Hilary Manees, DPT
Hilary Manees specializes in orthopedic, manual and sports therapies. She received her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Michigan in 2004. Hilary is certified as a manual therapist, a Sportsmetrics™ trainer and as a clinical instructor. She is trained Kinesio taping, Graston technique and balance/vestibular rehabilitation therapies. Before joining Coastal Physical Therapy, Hilary treated adolescents, adults and geriatrics in Austin, Texas. She has lived in North Florida since 2014 and enjoys going to the beach, exercising, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Brooke Davis, PT,DPT
Brooke graduated from the University of Florida where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She previously attended the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2013. She has gained clinical experience in Acute Neurological Oncology as well as Aquatic Physical Therapy. She has an interest in conditions that affect the lower back. As an active member of the FPTA (Florida Physical Therapy Association), she’s met with Florida’s legislators over the past two years to champion for updating the Physical Therapy Practice Act. Brooke has lived here in Jacksonville for 25 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going to Orange Theory Fitness, cooking and playing tennis.
Brian Borden, PT, MSPT
Brian Borden specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy treatment with an interest in manual therapy. He graduated from the University of North Florida with his MSPT degree in 2005. Prior to moving to Jacksonville, he completed his undergrad coursework in Chemistry at Indiana University. Brian has been a Florida resident for the past 16 years and enjoys golfing, biking, and working out in his free time.
Casey G. Harlow, DPT
Casey G. Harlow earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida. Prior to joining Coastal Physical Therapy, he was a physical therapist for Baptist Medical Center Downtown Outpatient Rehab. He also completed multiple internships including St. Luke’s Total Joint Rehab Unit (Brooks), Baptist Medical Center Downtown Outpatient Rehab, St. Luke’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Brooks Outpatient Behavioral Medicine, and at the Outpatient VA Southpoint Clinic. Casey’s primary area of interest is in orthopedics however has had exposure to working with patients dealing with chronic pain and has participated in providing post concussive rehabilitation for patients with post concussive syndrome. Casey is certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers including CPR and AED from the American Heart Association. He is currently pursuing his MDT Certification through the McKenzie Institute. Casey currently serves as youth pastor for his church and is enrolled as a seminarian at St Michael’s Seminary. He has a passion for serving God, serving others, and spending time with family. He also enjoys recreational activities such as basketball, running, and resistance training.
Jerry Edwards, PTA
Jerry Edwards specializes in outpatient Orthopedic physical therapy with an interest in shoulder and back conditions. He graduated from Florida State Community College with his PTA degree in 2012. Jerry also received his Bachelors of Theology from Baptist College of Florida in 2001 and served as supervisor with the United States Postal Service before pursuing his PTA degree. He has participated in several intense education seminars that focus on shoulder biomechanics and rehabilitation. He enjoys being outdoors, playing golf, and practicing martial arts.
Sheila Edwards, PTA
Sheila Edwards is a native of Florida and has been in the medical field since graduating high school. Sheila worked 10 years as a certified nursing assistant at Cathedral Rehabilitation Center and Turtle Creek Nursing Home prior to pursuing her interest in physical therapy. Sheila began working as a physical therapy rehabilitation technician in 1999 and later graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2014 with an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. In her spare time Sheila enjoys spending time with friends and family, bowling, going to the movies, and spending time outdoors.
Stacey Miller, PTA
Stacey Miller attended both the University of North Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville; receiving her Bachelors in Math Education in 2008, and her Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2013. Stacey has been a Florida resident for the past 27 years and enjoys volleyball, soccer, water skiing, and swimming.
Preston Miller, LMT, CNMT, CSCS
Preston Miller specializes in neuromuscular, deep tissue, myofascial and sports massage techniques. He received his massage therapy license after attending Heritage Institute in 2001 and received his Bachelors degree in 2011 from the University of North Florida in Exercise Physiology. He is accredited through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Before joining our Coastal team, Preston taught massage therapy and anatomy and physiology at the post-secondary level in Jacksonville. Being a native, Preston has lived in Florida for 37 years. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, kayaking and exercising.
April Dowden, LMT
April Dowden specializes in therapeutic deep tissue massage, and neuromuscular therapy with special training in sports massage and reflexology. She attended Space Coast Health Institute and obtained her License in Massage Therapy in 2001. April has interest in medical massage and ART: Active Release Technique. While she was born in Louisiana, April has lived in Florida for the past 8 years and enjoys camping, kayaking, and gardening.
